With the RECOVERING economy, the City Rescue Mission of Lansing has found creative ways to meet increasing needs in the capital area.
The Family Center has held as many as 50 children and their mothers at one time. Funding for the future Maplewood Center (to expand their current shelter for women and children) has completed phases one and two. Scheduled to open December 2010, now is the time to lend a hand.
The Family Center provides emergency shelter for women and children who need a temporary residence. They serve not only the chronically homeless but also those recovering from substance abuse and domestic violence, unemployed or laid-off workers, the wrongly evicted, and the physically or mentally impaired.
Last year, the 2009 CAWLM Lady Classic golf outing raised more than $3,000 for the City Rescue Mission. With nearly $100,000 to still raise in 2010, we know our support will aid their efforts. Make a difference in the City Rescue Mission of Lansing Family Center and become a 2010 CAWLM Lady Classic sponsor or register a team today.

A portion of all proceeds from the 2010 CAWLM Lady Classic golf outing will be donated to the LCRM Family Center for women and children. Your sponsorship and participation supports not only this event but also the Lansing community.
