My Community: Volunteers of America Christmas Party for Veterans

Local musician and volunteer Joe Wright teamed up with local businesses and area residents to provide a Christmas party for veterans housed at the Volunteers of America shelter. Each veteran was given a winter hat, gloves and a Meijer gift card. Several area residents baked homemade desserts for the occasion, and Wright joined Eric Brodberg and Tracy Anderson to provide music for the event.
