Whether it’s food or fashion, buying local is always in style. Lansing’s Old Town has many art galleries and unique shops filled with hidden gems to help you stand out this spring while supporting local businesses.

Sherry Zumbaugh recycles vintage brooches and belt buckles in her jewelry designs. Sarhra Massoglia, designer of Simarhra jewelry, also captures a vintage flair, but with a modern twist by using wire wrapping and natural stones in her earrings and necklaces. Photo screen print artist Kurt Meister uses jazz music as a source of inspiration for his leather bubble bracelets.

Gold and silver embellished necklaces will boost any plain t-shirt and jeans to create a dressy daytime look. Bring out your inner fashionista by adding a flower pin to your wardrobe, while toting around a fabulous slouchy bag.
